Aadhaar Card Services

Today, more than 80% Indians use Aadhaar card, and there are near about 13,000 Aadhaar enrolment centres in India. It was first initiated as a test project in villages from where it expanded to almost every corner of the country.

Aadhaar is now the world’s largest unique identification network. The Citizens Act was also revised to give a constitutional validation to the Aadhaar. The Aadhaar can also be availed by anyone who has been living in India for more than 182 days.

The Aadhaar card UID is what is required for documentation purposes and not the physical card itself. UIDAI also provides an array of services which can be availed with that number such as Aadhaar’s self-service portal.

It is important to have updated details in your Aadhaar card. When availing a personal loan, financial institutions verify all the details before granting the amount.

The UID can be used to get an e-Aadhaar through their website. UIDAI provides a mechanism through which a user can get e-KYC done. This service provides instant verification of identity and lowers the cost of paperwork required in KYC.

Aadhaar Card

  • Check the status of their Aadhaar update request

You can check your update status if you have applied for any changes in the existing details of your Aadhaar card using the Enrolment ID (EID).

  • UIDAI Aadhaar download

You can download your Aadhaar online. All the details in it are the same as its physical version. It is printable and can be used for KYC verification.

This document is also presentable when availing any services requiring KYC; for example, when applying for a personal loan.

Bajaj Finserv is an NBFC that provides these loans against minimal documents. You can submit your e-Aadhaar as a form of ID proof.

  • Aadhaar – PAN link

You can link your Aadhaar with PAN card. Recently SC has made Aadhaar card compulsory for filing of income tax returns online. Therefore, the process becomes easier if it is linked with Aadhaar.

  • Verify mobile number or email

You can verify if the mobile number or email address you have provided during enrolment or during the last Aadhaar update is accurate or not.

  • Recover your lost or forgotten EID/UID

You can also retrieve your EID/UID in case you forget it or lose it somehow from the official UIDAI website.

  • Verify your Aadhaar number

This portal is used to check whether the Aadhaar number issued to you is genuine or not.

  • Generate Virtual ID (VID)

Virtual ID is a 16-digit random number which is mapped with the Aadhaar number. It is used instead of Aadhaar number in times of authentication or KYC.

The Aadhaar has become mandatory to avail a host of facilities and services. It is also one of the most important documents to apply for personal loans.

UIDAI Aadhaar download is also useful if you want to take other unsecured loans such as business loans, education loans, professional loans, etc. These funds have no end-use restrictions, thus making them more beneficial.
